How long does an impregnation last for facades, roofs or paved surfaces?
The durability of the impregnation depends, among other things, on the location of the surface and the weather conditions.
On the sunny side, the protective effect can last up to 5 years. On the shaded side, the duration of effectiveness is usually up to 3 years.
Since algae and moss can multiply more easily in shady and damp areas, we recommend repeating the treatment there approximately every 2 years for optimal and long-term protection.
Can you remove moss without a pressure washer?
Yes, removing moss alone is generally possible. However, we also recommend a thorough cleaning with a pressure washer, as this removes not only the visible moss but also dirt and as many spores as possible.
This can help to counteract the rapid regrowth of moss and algae.
Do we need a lift to clean a roof or facade?
If the area to be cleaned is at a height of more than approximately 7 meters, the use of a cherry picker is usually required for safe and efficient execution.
During the site inspection, we assess the conditions and advise you on which equipment is best suited for the respective task.
Does a facade need to be repainted after cleaning?
No. A professionally performed facade cleaning removes dirt, algae, moss and other contaminants – the intact facade paint is preserved.
After cleaning, the original color of the facade is much more visible and the entire building looks well-maintained and fresh again.
Can a facade cleaner damage other surfaces or their paint?
Yes, certain cleaning agents can damage sensitive materials or surfaces if used improperly.
Therefore, before work begins, we protect all adjacent surfaces and objects, including windows, doors, plants and other sensitive areas.
We select the cleaning agents and cleaning method according to the respective material in order to achieve optimal results and avoid unnecessary damage.
